True Identity Ministries invited

to bring the TI message to Kenya

Partner with us in this special opportunity

We have been blessed with an invitation

to take the True Identity message to women ministry leaders and others in Kenya. Carina and I will be going with a small team from our church to the Divine Providence Training Center, a church ministry partner, just outside Nairobi.   DPTC provides training to indigent pastors who have heard God’s call but cannot afford seminary training. Once these pastors receive training, they can return to their communities  better equipped to share the Gospel and nurture the local body of Christ.

The partnership has resulted in dramatic growth of indigenous leaders in their communities taking the Gospel to over 35,000 alone plus planting many new churches. DPTC is also involved in community outreach and I will be conducting a ‘Train the Trainer’ seminar, training women leaders and pastors wives in the True Identity material who can then take it back to their women’s groups.     Women knowing their identity in Christ is essential in Kenya as the majority of children are raised by single moms. With over 50% of the population under 18, these women are powerful witnesses to the next generation.     Carina will be assisting me in some of the teaching and will be documenting the time we have in Kenya with stories, pictures, and video.

“You shall know the TRUTH, and the truth will set you FREE.”

John 8:32

Divine Providence Training Center Graduates

THE FIRST PART OF OUR TRIP WILL BE

traveling with a Kenyan pastor and woman ministry leader to some of the villages of DPTC graduates to capture, through photographs and video testimonies, ‘the rest of the story’, of how their training has impacted their communities now that they are back ministering in their churches and communities.  We will also be photographing and filming for True Identity Ministries, and of course, sharing the TI message on our journeys anytime God gives opportunity!

We are both very excited for this opportunity to not only use our love of photography, design, and writing to help capture what God is doing in Kenya, but to be with dear sisters and brothers in the Lord to share God’s message of True Identity with women ministry leaders and others, as well as learn from them and their vibrant faith.

I will also have the chance to reconnect with some dear missionary friends who are part of a ministry, Care of Creation, just outside Nairobi, and whom I have not seen for over 10 years! It turns out they are with the organization that DPTC had been praying they could  connect with for help in planning a garden for the training center land. God is so awesome in how He makes all these divine connections!
Sometime during our time in Kenya we hope to go on a safari as well as hiking up into the mountains to photograph the spectacular waterfalls and scenery.
On the way back from Kenya, Carina and I will be having a one week ‘layover’ in Holland! We will have time to see my husband’s family and for me to revisit and show Carina some of my old stomping grounds from when I lived in Amsterdam over 25 years ago. We will return to Atlanta July 27th.

“Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. Behold, the old has passed away, the new has come.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

help us take the ti message to kenya

We’d like to invite you to partner with us as we embark on this adventure. It will be very challenging for us physically and emotionally, but we know that this is a great opportunity to serve Christ! We covet your payers as we prepare and during our time in Kenya and Holland. In order for our trip to become a reality, we need to raise about $3,000 per person to cover the expenses of airfare, food, lodging, and supplies. We will be taking a variety of True Identity materials we can leave with the women in Kenya with us as well.

If you feel God leading you to contribute financially to this ministry, we invite you to share this service opportunity with us.

If you would like to support our trip financially
