That’s hello from Kenya! Our time arrived safely last Friday evening along with all our luggage. It was a very long travel time of two 8 hour flights with a 3 hour layover in Amsterdam airport. We were warmly greeted by our Kenyan hosts and taken to our accommodations for the evening. We unpacked a few things and all crashed.

We were up early the next morning to leave for a 2 day safari in the Masai Mara. It was an incredible 2 days experiencing God’s creation up close. Sometimes even a bit closer than we wanted. We came upon a spot along the road where 2 lions were lying on the edge of the road as if they were enjoying watching all the tourist snapping photos and oohing and ahhing over them. They were just 5 feet away. We were able to get some awesome photos. One part of our group in a different vehicle said the two began to charge at them after we had left! In the two days we saw giraffes, zebras, elephants, water buffalo, hippos, various birds, gazelle, other things I can’t remember the name of, and a cheetah. It is hard to describe the entire experience, but it is one that will stay with me forever. We have lot of photos and stories to share when we are home.

I have to keep this brief because we have to leave soon and Carina’s laptop is almost out of battery power. Know that we are all doing well. Your prayers for us are being answered and we so appreciate you keeping us lifted up in prayer! We may not be able to get online for the rest of the time we are here. We thought we would have internet at the place we are staying but we don’t. But if the opportunity arises, we will post. Otherwise we will catch up with everyone when we get to Holland.

The folks here are VERY excited for us to do the True Identity Retreat next weekend. They feel it is going to have a very significant impact on the lives of women here. We are excited for all God has in store for us this next week as we go out to villages these next 3 days to film and photograph and gather testimonies from pastor graduates and their communities.

Thank you again for your prayers! We are all very tired, but so enjoying each moment and all the special memories being made.

More as soon as possible.

Blessings~
